A FREE event for ages 6 months-5 years in partnership with First Five Humboldt
Join us for two hours of fun, highlighting the importance of water safety. This event is open to ages 6 months-5 years of age and all participants must be accompanied by a caregiver in the water. Expect swim instruction, interactive water safety booths, free swim, snacks and community demos! Prizes available throughout the event!
NOTE: Please select your child’s age and see the corresponding time frame (“cohort”) you will be in the water for lessons/fun! We encourage you to enjoy the rest of the event before you hit the water.
IN WATER TIMES:
10:15-10:45am: Ages 6 months-2 years old
10:50-11:20am: Ages 6 months-2 years old
11:25-11:55am: Ages 3-5 years

FAQ
A fun day at the HealthSPORT Arcata pool focusing on water safety for ages 6 months to 5 years old. The day will include engaging community demos, swim lessons led by the HealthSPORT swim team. In addition, there will be interactive water safety booths on the patio, swim lesson giveaways & more!
Please bring the following to the event:
- Swimsuits for yourself and your kiddos (ages 6 months to 5 years only)
- A dry change of clothes & towels!
- Life jackets are required for free swim if children are not competent in the water and won’t be held
- Swim diapers are REQUIRED to enter the water for children not yet potty trained
- Good vibes!

Due to the nature of this event, it is specifically designed for ages 6 months to 5 years old. We cannot accept older siblings or family/friends outside of these age ranges. However, HealthSPORT would be happy to give participants a family swim pass to enjoy at a later date at our open swim times!
No, you do not have to be a HealthSPORT member to attend! This event is open to the community.
