No – One of the best things about Pilates Reformer is that it’s accessible to all levels of fitness. The entire philosophy is built around building a strong core, and then progressing outwards. Even if you’ve experienced a knee injury or have back problems, exercises on the Reformer can be easily modified so you can still get the most out of them.
Tight workout attire is best for Pilates Reformer, like leggings and form fitting tanks. Loose clothing may creep up in many of the Reformer exercises or may be cumbersome on the Reformer apparatus. Form fitting clothing also allows your instructor to assess your alignment & make sure you’re doing each exercise properly.
